Description

The mandalas are an excellent tool to practice meditation, relax and concentrate. They are also used as a resource for self-knowledge.

The meaning of mandala in Sanskrit is "magic circle". This figure is made up of a series of symbolic representations agglomerated within a circle. The use of mandalas dates back to cultures such as Hinduism and Buddhism. Although if we look closely, these representations, also considered as spiritual, are found in all religions and cultures. That is why Carl Gustav Jung was a great lover of mandalas, since he considered that this type of symbolism that is repeated in different cultures clearly belonged to what he called the collective unconscious.

These symbolic representations had the power to transfer to us ideas, thoughts and the wisdom of our ancestors.

They are used as a good resource to support meditation.

Meditation with mandalas is very helpful. There is nothing you have to repeat and nothing you have to remember, you don't even have to have any specific posture.

How to meditate with the mandala?

First of all, you need to prepare a space where you feel comfortable, it is important that the space or room is clean and tidy, as your mind will feel better. Let clean air in, and if possible natural sunlight. Prepare an environment without distractions and settle down to generate the best energy possible, be quiet, or if you prefer, play meditation music to help you concentrate. The mandala that you have previously drawn and colored, place it in front of you at eye level, either on a table or a chair. Then close your eyes, concentrate on your breathing and let the flow of your thoughts calm down. When you are a little calmer, open your eyes and look at the mandala, observe it from the center of the drawing, let its energy attract you and in turn send it yours. You just have to observe it and concentrate on its figures and colors. At this point you just have to breathe and surrender to the meditation with the mandala.

The mandala is considered as a process for healing, relaxation and meditation. Somehow, experts say, it symbolizes the cosmos.

By meditating with the mandala and putting all our attention on it, we invoke all the strength of its energy to calm our mind and keep it full of love through the acquisition of important values such as compassion and acceptance.

The pointillism is one of the most innovative and surprising artistic techniques for art lovers. This artistic painting technique emerged in France from post-impressionism and was mainly inspired by nature. Its technique consists in the creation of small colored dots that combined create a complete chromatic image desired by the artist. The main precursors of this pictorial style were artists such as Georges Seurat, Paul Signac, Heri Edmond Cross or Vincent Van Gogh.

The location and color of each of the points will be decisive for the creation of the different textures. To give the shape, volume and light you have to decide these aspects. On the other hand, the location, size and distance between the dots will be the key factor to define the depth.

Undoubtedly the most surprising aspect of pointillism is the possibility of forming visual compositions simply from dots.

The analysis of the optics, the calculations, the physical link between the different colors and the order are part of the creative process of the Pointillist artists.

Pointillism, which is considered a derivation of impressionism, is also often referred to as post-impressionism, neo-impressionism or divisionism.

The Seed of Life is a phase prior to the form known as the "Flower of Life".
